One question that comes to almost every parent’s mind is that How to make their child succeed in life. But before working on excellence we should first know what they want to be in life, in which field they are interested.

There are a lot of examples like Sachin Tendulkar, Lata Mangeshkar, Sania Mirza who started early in their career and achieved success.

Parents normally have one of the two different thoughts, one who thinks that other children are gifted with skills and are lucky who got succeeded and the other one who know that their kid is very talented and capable but not know how to use that talent also they think that their kid will transform into some genius personality.

Well, these all are misconceptions.

You can be happy with your kid to be average or above average or you can work on your kid to brush up his or her skills and can lead them to excellence.

Ask yourself, why your kid cannot be the centre of attention?

If you are thinking all the personalities or IIT toppers or Olympic medalists are born with luck and skills and got success only because they are God gifted then you are WRONG!

Every child has unique skills and individual personalities and any normal child can be extraordinary.

For that, you need to choose the path that led you and your kid to greatness, not just an average.

Your kid has the talent and capabilities to be the centre of attention, to achieve excellence.

If I talk about myself, I was a below-average student but when I decided to conquer the success, I was able to top every exam and able to study at the most prestigious college that is Harvard Business School and working with many CEOs around the world.

And I want to tell you one thing, myself and all those CEOs none of us are gifted. They all have reached where they are now through hard work and dedication towards their work.

Let me tell you one story, there was a beggar who had been begging for his entire life. Once while begging he found a suitcase made of iron in a dustbin, which he took for himself but never opened as it was locked. For the next 30 years, he took the suitcase everywhere with him, He used to sit on it and beg for a living never did he try to open it.

One day a monk who was passing by asked him with curiosity whether he knew what was there inside the suitcase. The beggar thought to himself about what the monk said to him overnight. The next morning, he broke the lock with a stone and found gold coins in it, He was extremely happy but sad at the same time because if he had opened the bag his life would have gotten better a long time ago.

This is just folklore but it tells us that our kids already have the potential in them what we just need to do is to unlock their potential and see what they can really do. Every kid has creativity, talent and potential to be a genius, it’s just that we don’t know how to teach them to unlock their own potential.

Well, the most important key or the very first key to unlocking your kid’s potential is Self-identity.

So, what is self-identity? It is the way one sees himself/herself. It is not the way you want others to see you or the way others see you, it is the genuine way how you look at yourself.

It’s just like wearing glasses if you wear yellow glasses the world will seem to be bright but if you wear a darker shade it will seem dark. Thus, it is our choice if we want to access the lazy part of the active part of our brain. You need to make the choice whether you want to access your lazy part of the brain which tells you that you can’t do a thing on your own or you want to be the next superstar or batsman or a person very good at math, you may not know how to solve the problems but you are smart enough to figure out how to solve them.

This is the identity of an IIT topper but any other average student will think that he doesn’t know the solution to the problem or it’s too boring to solve it, he isn’t self-disciplined enough, he doesn’t like to study, that’s his own identity.

Now if you just change your glasses from yellow to red, the world will seem to have become red that’s the way you shift your identity, if you think you can do it you definitely can.

This is a long subject; I have a couple of other videos on self-identity and if you are interested just message on the WhatsApp number you can see on the screen and we will be happy to share our videos with you which can help you change your own self-identity as well as your kid’s identity. Now that’s your first secret.

Ok, now you will ask me that my daughter who believes that she can be a great singer or the next Indian Idol but she has never been to a singing class nor she has ever worked hard so how will magically the greatness appear.

Everybody to be successful in life needs hard work, I agree with it that success needs a lot of hard work, but what I don’t agree with is the way that will make your kid work hard that by bribing them with a gift or a bike or threatening them to work hard. It doesn’t work!!

Did it work for you? Your parents tried that with you for 30 years or so and you are trying the same thing that is bribing or threatening them rather than explaining to them logically why they should be working hard. Most parents see their kids going down the graph as they grow.

So how do you get your kid to work hard?

Let’s look into that, now what exactly is hard work. Hard work is not an event but basically a process, it’s a process you follow day after day, rain or shine, whether you’re sick or healthy, you follow it through festivals and sadness each day of your life. You practice your singing, you study hard, you read general knowledge to be UPSC’s topper so this is hard work which is a process.

Now what we really need to find out is how the UPSC topper was able to study 10 hours a day for 3 years straight. But your kid or a person you know who was able to study for 2 months and then his enthusiasm went down or your kid who you put into a guitar class but after 2 days he never went to the class or even touch his guitar again or your kid after trying to solve a math problem for just 2 hours gives up saying that math is not my thing to just looking for some game on your mobile phone.

So how do you build up the grip or the attitude of not giving up till the problem is fixed? Hard work is not a thing, the skill that you need to develop is tenacity, not giving up.

Now you will ask why my kid gives up and other kids can practice singing for 10 hours straight or the business people who encounter failure after failure but they stick with it but my kid gives up at the very first problem he faces? Why do they have the tenacity and my kid doesn’t?

Tenacity is not a skill you are born with in nature; it is a thing to be learnt. So how do we build up tenacity within your kid? That’s the second secret that is the Self-worth of your kid.

What is self-worth? Well, it is a lengthy topic and we have various videos on it. If you feel that you need to know more about it just send a msg on the WhatsApp number you have here and we will be more than happy to provide you with the videos.

Self-worth is the belief that you can do it, eventually, you will try, you will win no matter how many times you get a setback. Imagine if Sachin Tendulkar 17 years old facing this Pakistani bowler had not believed that he could do it, he wouldn’t have gone through the hours and hours of physical and mental fitness training.

If I tell you that in a particular village, in a particular spot there is so much gold that it can be used not only by you but also by 3 of your generations to come, you will definitely go there and check it out.

You may take a break when it rains or the sun is too bright but eventually, you will continue digging as you know that it will make your life easier with the success. This what Sachin Tendulkar did when he faced the fierce bowler from Pakistan who was throwing balls at him to discourage him; a 17-year-old boy, but he never gave up because he knew that the prestige he will get after his success will give him happiness to last his whole life.

He had tremendous pressure from the Indian fans but he never gave up. On the other hand, Vinod Kamble who was better than Sachin lost the mental battle.

See, so if your child knows that he is worthy of winning and he will win eventually if he keeps on trying, he will never give up. That’s where the tenacity come. When I was studying for JRE to go study in the US never ever did I let the thought of not able to go to the US last. I had dreamt and had plans of travelling over the world, to work in the Silicon Valley and that self-worth and belief that I’m worthy of success, that I’m worthy of being rich, worthy of studying in the best school, that worthiness kept my tenacity intact when I had frustrations. And I never gave up.

The parent’s role in building self-identity and self-worth is crucial. Kids or nobody is born with self-identity and self-worth, they happen to develop it accidently and what we got to do is to design these things along with the other skills mentioned in other videos.

We need to design the skills need to develop your kid into a worthy person by working on their mind and teach them the secrets of the mind.

Please do suggest any things you think I need to include in my video or ask any questions you have in our comment section we will be more than happy to have them.

When I was 14, I had already written down the dreams that I had be that studying in the US or working in the Silicon Valley or running a company worth thousands of dollars or travelling around the world. All of it that I had written down was because I had a belief that I had the worthiness to achieve all of these things. I never gave up even when the situation was dire and always had a concrete belief that I could have it all.

My mission in life is to teach people to do extraordinary things in life and teach parents and teachers the crucial part of teaching their kids the skills of mind development, If you like this

video please share it with more people. The more likes these videos get I will be able to provide you with more videos like these.

So, send me your comments, questions and feedback I will appreciate it.

Thank you
